Take a book!/Prend un livre!

Il n’y a qu’un seul mot pour définir cette bibliothèque (et oui, pour ceux qui l’ont oublié, ou pas écouté en classe « library » en anglais signifie « bibliothèque » et « book store » est l’équivalent anglais du mot français « librairie. ») –Leçon d’anglais terminée- Revenons à nos moutons, le mot pour décrire la bibliothèque de Boston est Français ! Et oui ! Le Massachusetts voulait construire une bibliothèque essentiellement américaine avec des architectes américains, des pierres américaines, mais au final, il n’a pas mieux que français ! Les architectes français ce sont donc faits naturalisés américains et les architectes américains sont allés étudier à l’école des Beaux-Arts de Paris avant de revenir construire la bibliothèque de Boston.

La bibliothèque est toujours utilisée de nos jours et, comme vous pouvez le voir, ne déroge pas à la tradition américaine et ses lampes vertes !

En fait, ce n’est pas totalement vrai. Il y a beaucoup de choses françaises dans cette bibliothèque mais aussi beaucoup de choses américaines. Après tout, ce sont eux qui l’ont construit !

There is only one word to tallk about this library (yes, for the ones who forgot, or didn’t listen in class “library” in English means “bibliothèque” and “book store” is the English equivalence of the French word “librairie”) –End of the French lesson- Go back to our sheep, the word to describe the Boston Public Library is French! Yes! Massachusetts wanted to build an exclusively American library with American architects, American stones, but, at the end, nothing is better than French! French architects had an American naturalization and American architects went to study in the école des Beaux-Arts of Paris before come back to build the Boston Public Library.

The library is still used and, as you can see, doesn’t avoid the American tradition and its green lights!

Actually, it is not completely true. There are a lot of French things in this library but also a lot of American things. After all, they built it!
